Scrapping away!

Oh happy dance! Another evening where I found the time and inspiration to create a layout. After such a long stretch without enough time to create what I wanted, this past week has felt wonderful. So here's the layout I made last night:

The background paper and several of the embellies are from the new Basic Grey "Curio" line. And I just had to play with some of my new vintage goodies! The music sheet and the check are both vintage, with a little Distress Ink and Glimmer Mist to give them just the right amount of aging. I also got the chance to use one of my new Unity Stamps:

I don't do a ton of stamping, but I just love how rich this particular stamp looks, and I thought the little pearls were the perfect finishing touch. I wanted to add some journaling, but couldn't fit a big enough space into my design. Sooo, I took a Maya Road envelope, inked it up and added a few tiny flowers and pearls:

The envelope is sitting on top of a Jenni Bowlin journaling card, and tucked under the music sheet. Inside is a card containing my memories and impressions of the Pantheon and our time exploring the area, including the crazy taxi ride we took from there back to our hotel! Oh, and see the letter "h" in my title? Yeah, there weren't any h's left in my alphabet, so I took a letter "n" and stuck an "l" on top of it. Turned out well enough, didn't it? Anyway, thanks for looking. I also managed to steal a few minutes this morning to get started on another layout. This one's got an angel busting through some more Basic Grey paper. I'm having a lot of fun with it, and hopefully I'll be able to share it tomorrow. Thanks for looking, I'm off to work now.

Your mojo is back! Ditched the stitching gathering at your mom's tonight because of the crud :( Looking forward to Williamsburg. Is your Mom going?
